Mission Statement

Bravo (Big Dog) Company and its resilient and competent cadre are operating on the Commander's intent with a decentralized execution to provide the highest quality Intelligence Soldiers to the Army to be further developed at a U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) unit of assignment.

Big Dog Company consists of 35F10 Trainees and permanent party cadre, including Drill Sergeants and Company Headquarters personnel.

CPT Popelka Bio

    CPT Kyle Popelka was born and raised in Alameda, CA. In 2012, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. In 2013, he enlisted into the Army as an Intelligence Analyst (35F) after completing basic combat training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and advanced individual training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.  

   

 CPT Popelka’s enlisted service began in the Eighth Army G2 as a human and counterintelligence analyst in Yongsan, South Korea. In 2014, CPT Popelka was transferred to 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Carson, Colorado, where he served as the collection requirements manager, lead intelligence analyst and security manager. While at Fort Carson, CPT Popelka deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  


    In 2019, CPT Popelka commissioned as an  officer after attending Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. CPT Popelka was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) where he served as the Multi-Function Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the Military Intelligence Company. He also served as the assistant S2 in 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, deploying to Poland in support of European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce (EADR). 


    CPT Popelka’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2), Basic Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Expert Soldier Badge.

1SG Martensen Bio

First Sergeant Jonathan D. Martensen enlisted in the Army on January 7, 2010. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He completed the All-Source Analyst (35F) Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Huachuca, Arizona in August of 2010 and was assigned to the 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BfSB) at Fort Cavazos, Texas (formerly known as Fort Hood).


First Sergeant Martensen currently serves as the First Sergeant of Bravo Company, 305th MI BN, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. First Sergeant Martensen's other assignments include: Brigade Fusion Analyst, 504th BfSB, Fort Cavazos, Texas with a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to FOB Spin Boldak, Afghanistan; Counterintelligence and HUMINT Analytical Cell NCOIC, Headquarter Operation Company, 411th MI BN, Camp Zama, Japan; Advanced Individual Training Instructor, Charlie Company 305th MI BN, Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Senior All-Source Intelligence Observer Controller and Trainer, Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany; Division G2 Collection Management and Dissemination NCOIC, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado; and Division G2 Analytical Control Element NCOIC, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado, with a deployment in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce to Boleslawiec, Poland.


First Sergeant Martensen's military education includes the Warrior Leader Course; Advanced Leader Course; Senior Leader Course; Master Leader Course; Army Space Cadre Course; Battle Staff course; Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Synchronization Manager Course; NATO Intelligence Requirements and Collection Management Course; Mission Command Master Gunner Course; Digital Intelligence Systems Master Gunners Course; Sexual Assault Response and Prevention course; Army Basic Instructor Course; and Common Faculty Development Instructor Course.


He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Intelligence Operations and a Associate of Arts in Education from Cochise College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Excelsior College, and a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Liberty University.


First Sergeant Martensen’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement medal (9 OLC), Combat Action Badge, Senior Army Instructor Badge, and Master Army Instructor Badge. First Sergeant Martensen has been awarded the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Silver, the Dutch Nijmegen Vierdaagsekruis (Cross for the Four Day Marches) Medal, and the Luxembourg Marche Internationale de Diekirch Medal.
